Built for people who travel for work
AirZippy is the travel-data arm of eMarinersApp. We started by selling data to ships' crews and airline staff, and the product still reflects who asked for it first.
Where we came from
eMarinersApp is a sole proprietorship run by Rajesh Kumar from Berhampur, Odisha. Its first customers were seafarers: people who sign on for months, cross a dozen jurisdictions in a single contract, and step ashore with a handset that has been offline since the last port.
Airline crew turned up with the same problem in a different shape. A cabin crew roster can touch three countries in four days. Nobody is buying a physical SIM at an airport kiosk at 03:00 between sectors.
AirZippy is the brand we put on that service when it became clear it was useful to anyone who travels often, not just to crew.
Why crew buy differently from tourists
A tourist buys one plan for one country, once a year, and cares mostly about not being cheated. Someone who travels for a living has a different set of constraints:
- Multi-country by default. A rotation is not a destination. One regional bundle that covers the whole loop usually beats four country plans, and sometimes it does not — which is why our planner adds up both.
- Delivery speed matters more than brand. If the QR does not arrive before the aircraft door closes or the gangway comes up, the plan is worthless regardless of price.
- Validity is measured against a roster, not a holiday. Seven days is not "a week off"; it is the gap between two specific ports.
- WhatsApp is the support channel that works. It survives bad hotel wifi and works on the home SIM before the eSIM is live. Email tickets do not help at a gate.
What we are trying to do
Two things, both narrow and both measurable.
Price. We are a reseller. We buy wholesale and re-sell, so the honest claim is the one we make on the homepage: the lowest prices we can find. When a wholesale rate drops on a route, the catalogue price drops with it. We do not run a permanent "discount" against an inflated list price.
Delivery speed. The QR should be in your hand before you have finished putting your card away. Payment confirmation triggers assignment and delivery automatically, to WhatsApp and email at the same time. When that pipeline is slow or fails, it is a defect, not a queue.
What we are not going to claim
We do not publish customer counts, uptime percentages, funding announcements or team photographs, because we have not audited any of those and a number you cannot check is not information.
We do not operate mobile networks. Coverage and speed belong to the local carrier your handset selects, supplied to us through a wholesale partner. Where that matters to your decision, it is written plainly in the Terms.
