Terms of service
These terms apply to every AirZippy eSIM bought through airzippy.com. Buying one means you accept them.
1. Who you are buying from
You are buying from eMarinersApp, a sole proprietorship registered in India and trading under the brand AirZippy. Full registered details, including GSTIN, are at the bottom of this page and on the contact page.
We are a reseller. AirZippy does not own, build or operate any mobile network. The networks your eSIM connects to are operated by local mobile carriers in each destination, and the eSIM profiles themselves are supplied to us by a wholesale eSIM partner. Your contract for the retail purchase is with us; the radio network is somebody else's.
Our supplier is SkyMobi. AirZippy is an authorised reseller and affiliate of SkyMobi (skymobi.co). When you buy a plan, the eSIM is provisioned by SkyMobi and its network partners, and the activation code you receive is issued through them. That does not change who you bought from: you bought from AirZippy, and AirZippy remains responsible to you for the sale, for refunds under our refund policy, and for any grievance under our grievance procedure.
2. What you are buying
A data-only mobile data plan delivered as an eSIM QR code.
- No phone number is issued. You cannot be called or texted on the AirZippy line.
- No voice calls and no SMS unless a specific plan page says otherwise. That includes SMS one-time passcodes: bank and app OTPs will keep arriving on your home SIM, not on this one.
- Data only, hotspot included unless the plan page says otherwise.
- The plan covers the countries listed on its page, for the number of days listed, up to the data allowance listed.
Keep your home SIM in the phone for calls and OTPs and use the AirZippy line for data. That is the intended way to use it.
3. When validity starts
Validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a mobile network at your destination — not when you buy it, and not when you install it.
You can buy days or weeks ahead and install on hotel or home wifi without the clock starting. It starts on first connection, then runs continuously for the stated number of days, including days you do not use it.
Install before you fly. Installation needs an internet connection, and the arrivals hall is the worst place to discover you do not have one.
4. Eligibility
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract under Indian law.
- Your handset must be eSIM-capable. Most iPhones from XS onward and most recent Android flagships are; many mid-range and older handsets are not.
- Your handset must be carrier-unlocked. A handset locked to a network by your operator will refuse a third-party eSIM, and we cannot unlock it for you.
Checking these is your responsibility before you buy. If you are unsure, ask us on WhatsApp with your exact model before paying — we would rather answer that question than process a refund.
5. Fair use on unlimited plans
Where a plan is described as unlimited, it is unlimited in duration of access, not in full-speed volume. After 1 GB of use in any 24-hour period, speed is reduced to approximately 512 kbps for the remainder of that period, then returns to full speed. The connection is not cut off.
512 kbps is enough for messaging, email, maps and voice calls over the internet. It is not enough for high-definition video or large downloads. If a plan applies a different threshold, that plan's page states it. We would rather print the number here than describe it as "fair use" and leave you to find out.
6. What we cannot control
These are outside our control and are not grounds for a refund, though we will always help you troubleshoot:
- Coverage and signal strength in any particular building, valley, vessel or aircraft. Coverage maps belong to the local carrier and we do not warrant them.
- Speed. 4G or 5G availability depends on the local carrier, the spectrum your handset supports, and congestion at that moment. "4G/5G where available" means exactly that.
- Carrier-locked or incompatible handsets, and changes a handset maker or operator makes to eSIM support in a software update.
- Changes to destination rules — a country introducing mandatory SIM registration, restricting roaming, or blocking services. Some jurisdictions restrict or prohibit foreign eSIMs; where we know of a restriction we note it on the plan page, but the rules can change without notice.
- Outages at the local carrier or at our wholesale supplier.
7. Liability
Our total liability to you for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — missed flights or connections, lost bookings, lost business, or loss of data — arising from a service failure.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot be contracted out of.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use an AirZippy eSIM to:
- break any law in India or in the country you are using it in;
- send bulk unsolicited messages, or run spam, phishing or fraud operations;
- attack, scan or interfere with any network or system without authorisation;
- resell the connection, operate it as a permanent fixed line, or run it as a commercial gateway or SIM box;
- distribute material that is unlawful where you are using the service.
We may suspend or terminate a plan that is being used this way, without refund, and we will cooperate with a lawful request from a competent authority.
9. Pricing, payment and changes
Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include GST. Other currencies shown on the site are an indicative conversion for display only; you are charged in INR. Payment is processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your full card details. Where payment for an order is processed through SkyMobi's own payment account, the charge on your card or bank statement appears in SkyMobi's name rather than ours. We will say so plainly at checkout when that is the case. It does not change your rights: your purchase is still from AirZippy, and refunds and grievances are still handled by us.
We may change these terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which version applies. Changes are not retroactive: the terms in force when you bought govern that order.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Berhampur, Odisha have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Consumer carve-out: if you are a consumer, nothing above takes away your right under Indian consumer law to bring a complaint before the consumer forum having jurisdiction where you reside or work. Before going to court, please try the grievance procedure — most problems are settled there in days.
Refunds are governed by our refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Personal data is handled as described in our privacy policy.
